THE STATE OF THE ART SCIENCE

For IBSA Foundation, the dialogue between art and science is a creative way of dissemination: art, in its multiple forms, is a powerful tool of communication and also very useful for describing scientific research.

Scientists look at the world with an objective and rational eye, but there is also another way of viewing it, which is reflected in the feelings, perceptions and emotions generated by artistic representations.

The series of meetings known as “State-of-the-art Science”, organized by the IBSA Foundation with MASI Lugano, the Art Museum of the Italian speaking part of Switzerland at the LAC, was created from the idea of bringing together prominent representatives from seemingly distant disciplines like Art and Science, encouraging dialogue and the productive exchange of points of view.
