The IBSA Foundation provides financial support for awards and special projects consistent with its mission. This includes fellowships, which are a concrete and direct way of promoting scientific research. Each year the Foundation awards 5 fellowships, each worth EUR 30,000, to young researchers under the age of 40, from Universities and Institutes around the world, who have distinguished themselves for their skills and have ongoing projects of particular relevance in four specific fields of medical discipline – Dermatology, Endocrinology, Fertility, Orthopaedics-Rheumatology and Pain Medicine – to which is added the Special Edition which changes every year.

We believe that it is vitally important to value the work and dedication of young and brilliant scientists, and we support them with conviction, investing in their enthusiasm and talent, which will lead them to be the leaders of tomorrow’s research.
